L-leap-accelerating the stochastic simulation of chemically reacting systems

Presented here is an L-leap method for accelerating stochastic simulation of well-stirred chemically reacting systems,in which the number of reactions occurring in a reaction channel with the largest propensity function is calculated from the leap condition and the number of reactions occurring in the other reaction channels are generated by using binomial random variables during a leap.The L-leap method can better satisfy the leap condition.Numerical simulation results indicate that the L-leap method can obtain better performance than established methods.     

Correct Solutions of Plane Elastic Problems for a Half-Plane

Continuous and integrable solutions and one-to-one relationships between boundary forces and displacements are found through the direct integration of the differential equations of the plane elastic problem for a half-plane with boundary conditions for either forces or displacements or with mixed boundary conditions. The necessary equilibrium conditions for forces and the compatibility conditions for displacements that ensure the correctness of the solutions are formulated     

Validation of Thermal Equilibrium Assumption in Transient Forced Convection Flow in Porous Channel

The validity of the local thermal equilibrium assumption in the transient forced convection channel flow is investigated analytically. Closed form expressions are presented for the temperatures of the fluid and solid domains and for the criterion which insures the validity of the local thermal equilibrium assumption. It is found that four dimensionless parameters control the local thermal equilibrium assumption. These parameters are the porosity , the volumetric Biot number Bi, the dimensionless channel length _max and the solid to fluid total thermal capacity ratio C _R. The qualitative and quantitative aspects of the effects of these four parameters on the channel thermal equilibrium relaxation time are investigated.

Effect of parameters on the rubbing condition of an unbalanced rotor system with initial permanent deflection

A rotor-stator rubbing Jeffcott model of a rotor system with mass unbalance including the mass eccentricity and the initial permanent deflection was set up and the corresponding governing motion equation was derived by d’Alembert principle. Through the analytical method, the rubbing condition was analyzed. Whether the rub would happen and when the rub would happen were well solved. The amplitude of the rotor center was calculated, and the rubbing factor was introduced to determine whether the rub would happen or not for all rotating speeds. Rubbing speeds when rub began to happen were obtained. Parameters such as the mass eccentricity, the initial permanent deflection, damping coefficients, and the phase angle between the mass eccentricity and the permanent deflection were used to analyze their effect on the rubbing condition. Results were obtained and could be used to prevent the rubbing fault or decrease the damage of the rub and diagnose or balance the initial permanent deflection fault.

基于可靠度的结构优化的序列近似规划算法

基于可靠度的优化的最直观解法是把可靠度和优化的各自算法搭配一起形成嵌套两层次迭代。为改善其收敛性提高计算效率,人们提出了功能测度法、半无限规划法、单层次算法等多种改进方法。本文对传统结构优化界的经典序列近似规划法改造并扩展应用于求解基于可靠度的结构优化问题,构造该问题的序列近似规划模型和求解过程;其核心思想是在每个近似规划子问题中采用近似可靠度指标对设计变量的线性近似,在优化迭代过程中同步更新设计变量和随机空间中的近似验算点坐标,以达到可靠度分析和优化迭代同步收敛的目标。为了算法的实施,还推导出近似可靠度指标的半解析灵敏度计算公式,编制了程序,最终实现与通用软件的连接。论文用算例证实算法的有效性。     

Effect of the length of a rotating drillstring on the stability of its quasistatic equilibrium

A mathematical model is proposed to describe the critical quasistatic equilibrium of long rotating drillstrings.
